Kino Kabaret Time

Kino Kabaret 32 Hour Filmmaking Marathon

The team behind Jurassic Lounge and the Sydney Film Festival Hub – The Festivalistshave put together another great year of filmmaking.  You may know their regular monthly screening nights – Kino Sydney, but do you know about Kino Kabaret, the annual filmmaking marathon weekend?

In just two days a short film will be written, shot, edited and then screened to a packed audience. With the support of Metro Screen, 90 filmmakers will pack in to the green screen studio and the media lab and generally take over the Metro Screen facilities for three weekends in a row: 17th – 18th and the 24th – 25th of November and finally 2nd – 3rd of December. There are a few spots left if you want to join in the production team. Beginners are welcome and no equipment is necessary.

If you’re not up for making a film, you can come along to watch them at the screening parties each Sunday at the Night Parrot. They kick off at 6.30pm with live entertainment followed by the films, (with pizza and drinks).

Spaghetti Western! Sunday 18 Nov 6.30pm –  Kino Kabaret films + Wild bunch of performances on the night, including Dyan Tai & Co. + MC Delsithecat + DJ Mall and prizes for the best dressed.
